GEM Night: Gender Equality Mechanics

GEM Night features open shop hours designated specifically for folks who are marginalized by bike culture due to their gender.*  Come wrench on bikes in a shop full of other women, girls, and trans folks! 

  • Workshop is free + volunteer-led
  • All ability levels welcome
  • Ask questions and learn from other GEM Night volunteers
  • No need to sign up beforehand – just show up!

*Wait, what does that mean?! That means this night is for women, trans folks of all identities, girls, gender-non-conforming folks, and femmes of all stripes.

GEM Master Mechanics Course: A 6-week bicycle maintenance and repair class exclusively for women, trans, femme & genderqueer people of all races.

  • Learn a ton about bicycle mechanics over the course of 6 classes with plenty of instruction and hands-on practice
  • Course includes classes on shifting & braking systems, wheels & truing, bottom brackets and drive train, flat repair, general maintenance, and more!
  • All ability levels welcome
  • Cost is sliding scale $50-$250; no one will be excluded for lack of funds
